From its earliest beginnings, The Royal has always presented students with a unique opportunity to experience the richness of Canada’s agricultural heritage and the excellence that has made Canada a world-leader in the agri-food industry.

With interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities, our Education Centres which are brought to you by Bank of Montreal and developed with many Ontario commodity organizations, encourage students to develop positive attitudes and a better understanding of the scientific and practical dimensions of Canada’s agri-food system. Solve the mysterious origins of brown and white eggs at the Egg Education Centre or learn about the equipment, techniques and technologies used on today’s farms at our Field Crops Education Centre.

Our newest initiative, Farm to Table, bridges the gap between farm-related experiences at the Education Centres and the end-product for the consumer. This programme introduces your students to basic processing concepts themed around Canada’s Food Guide.

From math and science to social studies and economics, a visit to The Royal is a valuable tie-in to the current Ontario curriculum.
